About Shahria:
Shahria Omar Fahim, a beatboxer from Dhaka, Bangladesh, having great interest in programming and event management, in addition to holding a profession as a Civil Engineer.
Getting into Beatbox:
In early 2017, Shahria was introduced to beatboxing by a friend from Kolkata, India. They were both active in Teamspeak, a popular online chat platform. Shahria researched beatboxing and found a few communities in Teamspeak, which motivated him to learn the art. Around late 2017, Abrar Hasan Sami introduced Shahria to the beatbox scene in Bangladesh. At the time, preparations were underway for the National Championship BattleBoxBD2017. The event motivated Shahria to pursue beatboxing more seriously, and he has since attended every beatbox event in Bangladesh, while also practicing and learning more about the art form.
Working with Beatbox Bangladesh:
On March 8, 2018, Shahria suggested the creation of a Discord community for Beatbox Bangladesh. Coincidentally, Beatbaksho and HanX were already working on a similar project. On March 18th, 2018, He and Faisal Rizwan Noman were invited to be moderators of the Discord community. They planned and executed several online activities, including weekly battles. Shahria was later promoted to Discord Manager and given access to the social media pages. He also developed and maintained the Official Website of Beatbox Bangladesh. Shahria’s activities mostly are behind-the-scenes tasks, such as organizing and assisting the co-founders with events, workshops, meetups, and other field/online-related activities. He has been working diligently with the team and has been organizing events alongside the co-founders. He was promoted to Senior Coordinator of Beatbox Bangladesh on March 30, 2022.
Shahria is currently overseeing the ongoing Campus Representatives project for Beatbox Bangladesh. Additionally, He and the Co-Founders are planning a few upcoming projects. Along sides of Beatbox Bangladesh, he is also a server staff of the biggest online beatbox community known as “Beatbox Community”.
